Healthcare is a Human Right

Thousands of people on the move are staying between Dunkirk and Calais, on the northern coast of France. Most live in unbearable conditions, in makeshift shelters, with only limited access to essential supplies.

In response to EU member states’ failure to fulfil their obligation to ensure that everyone has access to the basic necessities of life, No Border Medics recognises its responsibility to provide temporary access to basic medical care.

What do we do?

Displaced people suffer from the physical and psychological hardships of fleeing their homes, while at the same time having very limited access to medical care.

As a donation-funded NGO, we provide accessible, year-round support through a team of volunteer medical professionals.

Where do we work?

Thousands of people on the move are currently living in informal and makeshift camps between Dunkirk and Calais, on the northern coast of France.

They are waiting for an opportunity to cross the English Channel to the UK.

With no legal route available for them to enter the UK, these dangerous crossings are often their only option, putting their lives at risk and sometimes resulting in death.

Life here is marked by frustration and hardship, but also by hope and dreams of a better future.
